Our policy on

Health & Safety

Health and Safety at Benridge Care Group Ltd is of prime importance, as it plays a massive part in looking after all individuals who are in our care.

We have produced our own bespoke Health and Safety Policy Manual which is continuously updated. For the safety of all our residents and staff, we conduct monthly Health & Safety audits on Fire, First Aid, Accidents & Near Misses, Risk Assessment, and quarterly Infection Control audits.

In terms of Risk Assessment, those residents who are assessed as competent to analyse risks themselves are free to make their own decisions, as long as they do not threaten the safety of themselves or others. We carry out a personal risk assessment specific to a person. We are keen to maintain each residents quality of life and carry out a personal risk assessment specific to their needs. We will offer supervision in simple tasks to reduce the danger of harm rather than taking away their personal rights we will ensure supervision to maintain their independence for as long as is possible.

We have our own Health and Safety Team which is headed by Sean Connolly, a fully trained NVQ Health and Social Care Assessor, EMT paramedic and Manual Handling Instructor. Every new starter has 3 hours induction in all our Health and Safety procedures and all staff receive regular training in this area.
